I downloaded Windows Live Messenger 9.0 (Final) and every time I sign into it, there are no contacts on my contact list at all, whether online or offline. No contacts show up on version 9.0 Beta also. Even when importing my contact list into Messenger, it doesn't work.

I am running XP, latest Windows programs etc but nothing works. Why does Microsoft (Microshite) always cause us problems? Why do you people have to release a program that isn't even fit for it's purpose? You guys suck!

I believe that our Windows Live Messenger Support Team can best assist you on this. You should contact them by following these steps:

1.Go to http://help.live.com/help.aspx?project=a&querytype=topic&query=Default_Help_PROC_MessengerVersion.htm&market=en-us
2. Click on the version of messenger that you're using.
3. On the left panel click any FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) link.
4. On the lower right corner of the page click “Get more help”
5. Click “Get support”
6. Complete the e-form and then click Submit.

This scenario is most likely caused by a corrupted cache which is hindering the program from synchronizing with the contact list in the server. Please go to http://windowslivehelp.com/solution.aspx?solutionid=8aa11244-80a5-4992-b975-8cc11847223e for the steps to resolve this.
