I was trying to add my contact list ONLY from my {removed email address} address to my new hotmail address, {removed email address}. I clicked the appropriate box, I thought. Instead of adding my contact list, it confirmed  my success in sending all my e-mails from yahoo to hotmail, not my contact list. I do not want my yahoo e-mails sent to the hotmail address, so Q#1: How do un-do this? Q#2: How do I get my contact list added from yahoo to hotmail? Actually, I only want some of the contacts from my contact list added per above, but if the entire list has to be added, it's OK. I AM NOT PARTICULARLY COMPUTER LITERATE YET, SO PLEASE KEEP THAT IN MIND WHEN MY QUESTION IS ANSWERED. Thank you. Report as Abuse

To stop receiving messages from your Yahoo account to Hotmail, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your Hotmail account.
2. In the upper-right corner of the Windows Live Hotmail home page, click “Options.”
3. Choose “More options” on the dropdown menu.
4. Under "Manage your account," click the "Send and receive mail from other e-mail accounts" link.
5. Under "You can receive mail from these accounts," click "Remove."
6. Click "OK."

However, there's no option to undo those that have already been received.

As for importing your Contacts list, you will first need to save your Yahoo contacts to a comma-separated values (CSV) file. For the steps, I suggest that you contact the Yahoo support team.

Once you have the file, you can then import it to Hotmail:

1. In the upper-right corner of the Windows Live Hotmail home page, click “Options.”
2. Choose “More options” on the dropdown menu.
3. Under the “Customize your contacts” option, click the “Import contacts” link.
4. Select the e-mail program or service that you want to import your contacts from.
5. To find the file that you want to import, click the “Browse” button.
6. Locate the file, and then click the “Open” button.
7. Click the “Import contacts” button.
