Help,

My hotmail account has been hacked. I've noticed over the last week when I sign out it won't fully sign me out as it says I'm still logged into this link: https://ssl.facebook.com/accept_token.php

Obviously something to do with Facebook. Now they have started sending SPAM to all my friends.

I;ve changed my password and security settings, so hopefully that will work, but I figure if they have access to my account, they might know my new password as well.

How can I fix this and still retain my Hotmail account?

Thanks, Emily

Hi Emily,

Thank you for reporting this issue. I have verified that the problem you’re experiencing when signing out from your account is related to Windows Live ID and not due to possible hacking. To resolve this problem, I recommend that you get in touch with the Windows Live Technical Support Team. To contact them, follow these steps:

1. Go to https://support.live.com/default.aspx?productkey=wlid
2. Select one of the help topics displayed on the left panel.
3. Click Get more help at the lower-right corner of the window then click Get support
4. Complete the e-form and then click Submit

Moving forward, I assure you that Hotmail recognizes the sensitivity, security and privacy of your account information. However, if you believe that someone has access to your account, I recommend that you reset your password using your alternate e-mail address. This will enable you to successfully reset your password without the information being sent to your primary account. The Windows Live Technical Support Team can also help you with this.

In addition, to keep your account secured, follow the safety measures below:

1. Log out from your account every after your session by clicking the Sign out link.
2. Clear your browser’s temporary Internet files when using a public terminal. Refer to the documentation of the browser that you’re using.
3. Be sure not to click the Remember my password option at the Hotmail Sign In page.

FYI: I moved your post here at the Non Hotmail Questions (Referral) forum.

I know why this shows up on my logout screen I just don't know how to get rid of it.

I signed up for Facebook, and in the confirmation email it takes you back to Facebook to log in.

Well I stayed on the sight for a while and then signed out.

I then went back to my hotmail that I had left open the whole time and clicked "sign out".

I have had this ssl.faceboo.com message ever since.

Neither of my accounts have been attacked or hacked.
