Symptoms:

- Customer signs in to Messenger, but shows as offline for friends.

- Customer signs in to Messenger and some friends also sign in, but the friends still show offline.

What should you do?

Please note this happens in both Windows Live Messenger client as well as in WebIM (Windows Live Web Messenger) because it may take some time to complete signing-in and get the latest presence information from the server. If you see this issue, please try to sign out and sign in back again.
