HELP! My Inbox Was Deleted!!!

I logged into my email today, and ALL of my inbox messages (upwards of 1,500) were deleted! AND, they are NOT in my deleted messages folder. Only messages I received in the last week are in my inbox.

I did NOT delete these messages....what caused this and how can I get them back?

Incidentally, all the emails in my other folders are intact.

I have a similar problem, Elecanon spam emails were sent to all my contacts, and all the messages in my inbox dissapeared. Curiously enough, unlike the others who have posted here, my contact list was not deleted. I've changed my password and am going to try and run a virus scan, but is it possible to retrieve my lost emails? They are not critical, but I would still like to have them back. If not all, then at least those from the past year or so.

hi my acc on hotmail was recently blocked as i forgot my password i have now gone through the validation process and regained full access to the account, however all my emails have been deleted and thii was the whole reason i needed to get back into my account, can someone please tell me how i can get these emails back it is urgent many thanks xxx

The same thing happened to my wife's acccount today!!!! She got a message saying since she hadn't logged on in 270 days, they deleted her mail. But she just logged on YESTERDAY! What's going on???

it was in the deleted folder! wow. i cant believe i didnt check that!

its so strange. so i sync with outlook. it moved all the files onto outlook and i had a huge inbox.dbx fil in my outlook folder on my computer. ok thats fine, but syncing also deleted all the messages from my inbox. not only that, it 'actually deleted' them, because it simply moved all of the messages into the deleted folder.

strange.

Hiya,

Again, I have just checked my inbox, and everything has gone, although other folders are still intact. Also, within 5 mins of me checking my inbox I have 'sent' an email to my partner, who immediately deleted it without opening it.

Whats going on?
