Having been receiving this error message for about a week, since initially connecting the DSL service last Friday. Please take a look at this so I may begin using Hotmail for my E-mail service.

Your issue is not related to the regular server maintenance. However, the product team is already aware of this and is working on a fix. I appreciate your patience about the matter.

I am having the same issue. Continue to log out and then return with same result.

Trying to be patient but this happens with this account too often and affects productivity?

Why does this continue to happen during critical times (EST)?

I've investigated your account and it appears to be fine. It's possible that the server that hosts your account has undergone maintenance.

How long does it take to have a server undergo maitenance?  This has been going on for weeks with me.  And I know server maintenance doesn't take that long.  I use both Firefox and IE and on different computers (home and work, desk and laptop)  and this is a continuing situation.  I am thinking hotmail grew too fast to handle the job.

Maintenance typically lasts only for a few hours but since you're still unable to access your account, please post your Hotmal e-mail address so I can look into it.

You should know that right now I can access it.  Sometimes I can and sometimes I can't.  Like yesterday -- I couldn't access it much of the morning but could by afternoon.  This has been going on for weeks -- sporadic access.  So right now I can access it but who knows what will happen the next time I want to do so.

Please try to optimize your browser just to make sure that it’s not causing this signing issue on your end. You can visit the Help section of your browser or contact their support team for the steps. 

My browser is always optimized.  I should also say that when I am in it takes forever to load a message I click on, etc.  IMHO that would mean the server is being overworked on your end (I don't have the same trouble with yahoo mail, work mail, etc.) -- need to add more servers or ???

I've been down all day.  I receive emails but can't retrive any.  I have two emails sitting in my inbox that I need in order to complete an action...what's the issue?  If it's the server, why can I receive but not retrieve?

I don't get an error msg of any kind....I just get an hour glass that does nothing. 

Send me replies to this post??? what for, I can't do anything.  the account locks as soon as the inbox comes up!
