To delete any installed version of the MSN Photo Upload Tool on the computer.
a. Start Internet Explorer, "click Tools," and then click "Internet Options."
b. On the General tab, click "Settings," under "Browsing history" (For IE7) "Temporary Internet files" (For IE6) and then click "View Objects" in the "Settings" window.
c. In the Downloaded Program Files window, delete the "MSN Photo Upload Tool" file. If you cannot find the MSN Photo Upload Tool file, you do not have the MSN Photo Upload Tool installed or the file has already been deleted.
d. After you delete the MSN Photo Upload Tool file, restart Internet Explorer.
e. Sign in to Windows Live Hotmail and then try to send a message by using the MSN Photo Upload Tool. You will be prompted to download the MSN Photo Upload Tool again. If you see the Internet Explorer Information Bar at the top of Internet Explorer window that prompts you to install the MSN Photo Upload Tool Active X control, right-click the "Internet Explorer Information Bar" and then click "Install ActiveX Control."
Note: If you are not prompted to download the MSN Photo Upload Tool, follow steps 3 and 4, and then try this step again.
Follow these steps if you are running Internet Explorer 7.0 on Windows Vista:
1. Start Internet Explorer, click "Tools," and then click "Internet Options."
2. On the Programs tab, click "Manage add-ons."
3. On the Show drop-down menu, select "Downloaded ActiveX Controls (32-bit)."
4. Click "MSN Photo Upload Tool."
5. Click "Delete ActiveX," click "OK" and then click "OK" again.
3. Optimize Internet Explorer and then reset the default settings for Internet Explorer.
