Hi crakthed,
At present, there’s no option in Hotmail to remove the advertisement at the side and the Quick Add pane. You can subscribe to Hotmail Plus though so the advertisement won’t show up on your account page. Just visit the link below to know how you can sign up:

If the advertisement blocks your messages preventing you from reading them properly, please post your account here and send us a screenshot of your e-mail page showing the condition that you experienced. Here are the steps on how to take the screenshot:
1. Press the "Print Screen" key located on the upper right hand corner of the keyboard.
2. Open your picture editor (example: Microsoft Paint).
3. Paste the screenshot by simultaneously pressing on "Ctrl" and "V" on your keyboard or by selecting "Paste" on the "Edit" drop-down button in Microsoft Paint.
4. Save the screenshot by simultaneously pressing on "Ctrl" and "S" on your keyboard or by selecting "Save" on the "File" drop-down button in Microsoft Paint.
5. Enter a filename and select JPEG as file type.
6. Click "Save."
7. After that, attach the screenshot in a new e-mail. The e-mail address where you can send the file is located in the Private Data area below.
Put "crakthed: http://windowslivehelp.com/community/t/154339.aspx" as the subject of your e-mail for easy tracking and reply to my post once you’ve sent the requested file.
FYI: I’ve moved your post to the proper forum, Reading and Writing Messages.
