Hello,

Four days ago my hotmail search engine stopped searching any further than the current page. It has nothing to do with my browser settings or which computer I use. I see from the topics listed that this is a common problem with hotmail. How can I get it fixed.

I need more info about your issue. Please post your e-mail address, the word/s you are searching, and the date the search function can't get any further.

I am having the same issue.  I type in a search word like Facebook or Old Navy or Mom in my email search box but it will only find my emails from Facebook and Old Navy if they are on page 1 of my emails.  It won't show any of my emails from Facebook or Old Navy (or any other word I try to search for) that are located on other pages (and I know they are there because I can see them when I go to other pages).  My email address is {removed email address} .

I too have been having the same problem.  It started yesterday.  All I get is a result from the first page of my email inbox, and it is happening on both my PC and my Apple notebook, so it must be a Hotmail problem.

It doesn't matter what word I search, "november", "schedule", "reimbursement", etc. It will only search the last 2 pages, where a week ago it would search all results in my email folder over the last 5 years.

I have the same problem. This is a very big problem because the search engine is the only way I have to manage efficciently my more than 8000 mails of the last three years. We need help!!

The product team is already aware of this and they're currently investigating the problem. However, I can't provide you with an exact timeframe as to when this will be resolved.

In the mean time you can download and configure your account in the free program Windows Live Mail and you will be able to search all your messages if you cannot do so.

i'm having the same problem too, it's not been working for a while now. I have 2 hotmail accounts, 1 of them works fine, the other doesn't.

it doesn't search anything older than around 2 weeks.

I'm using mac so I can't download WLM as an alternative.

Please could you check my account to see if there is a problem with it?

The condition you have described is known product issue. The Product Team is currently looking into it. If you are unable to use Windows Live Mail then you may access your account through your computer’s e-mail client program. For instructions on how to do this, please get in touch with the support group of your preferred e-mail client program.

Nope, just par for the course with the new microsoft... substandard products that haven't been evaluated prior to release and sluggish correction of internal errors. Could they make it any easier for the competition? Suppose it's time to transfer my accounts to gmail.

Guys, we have answered your posts about this and as what Tyrone mentioned, we are aware of this issue and we are currently looking into it.  Now, while we come up with a solution, you can try to access your account using an e-mail client as the search function within an e-mail client works.
