I just received an email saying my account was going to be closed due to an overload of hotmail users. It says it is from Winows Live TM Team.  Is this really going to happen or is it spam?

It sounds like spam Rope2Win. That is not true. Hotmail isn't experiencing overload of users. If the e-mail came from a Hotmail user, I suggest that you report it the Windows Live Hotmail Customer Support Team (Abuse Team) for investigation. They handle abuse issues like this. You can email them directly at abuse@hotmail.com .
