If you want to inform your contacts, you can send them an e-mail and let them know that this will not affect their accounts.

For me to help you recover your contacts, post the following info:

- Your Hotmail account
- At least 3 e-mail addresses from your deleted contacts

I was able to recover some of your contacts and sent them to your account. Check your mailbox and open my e-mail with the subject Recovered Contacts.

To prevent this from happening again, I strongly suggest that you regularly change your password as well as your secret question and answer to further secure your account.

Should I be worried about hackers who got into my account and sent out a bulk email titled "new shopping?" I would like to let them know that this won't affect their accounts. Any information would be great. Thanks.

Now when I reply to an email message all the contacts that were listed before me are added to my address book.

I’d be glad to assist you in recovering your missing Windows Live Hotmail contacts. However, before I begin the recovery process using our Support Control Panel, I would need you to provide your Windows Live Hotmail e-mail address and at least three of the deleted e-mail addresses from your account’s contacts list. This is done to ensure that we will only be disclosing account information to the account’s owner.

I'm losing my email contacts for no apparent reason. I haven't deleted them but they seem to vanish into thin air. This started along with other problems when I d/l Explorer 8.

What's up MS?
