When the emails got uploaded , it sets your "received date" to the date it was put on the server not the date it says in the mail when Outlook opens them they read the date from the header, not from the server save date.

If you use POP aggregation to have Hotmail download the messages from gmail this should keep the original dates of the mails.

Pedrokessler, while working on your problem, I’ve found inconsistent information on your previous post. You mentioned that you used HTTP when you configured Gmail on Microsoft Outlook. However, HTTP is only being offered to Hotmail accounts. I would greatly appreciate it if you can verify if you used POP3 or IMAP in configuring your GMail account in Microsoft Outlook before moving your messages to Hotmail. This information will greatly help in the ongoing investigation of your problem.

The dates on the messages are wrong by months and years, not hours ...

I would need additional information to further troubleshoot your concern. Since we have established that you access your Windows Live Hotmail account through Microsoft Outlook using Microsoft Office Outlook Connector, could you tell me how you accessed your Gmail account through Microsoft Outlook when you "moved" your messages? Did you use HTTP settings or POP3 access feature?

I have spoken with them and was told that if the dates on the message list of the webmail (hotmail) does not match the dates in the header of the messages, that does not have anything to do with outlook connector.

They say it is a problem of the message list reading the message header ...

What should I do?

The message header gives the right date.

However, the list of emails on hotmail gives the wrong date.

You can compare the date on the header with the date on the list (this message is on the Folder: $ e Acoes - Espolio > relatorio final). It says 6/23/09 (list) x 7/22/06 on the list.

To further investigate, provide a copy of the e-mail with full message header showing the incorrect time stamp. Here’s how:

1. Sign in to your Hotmail account.
2. Right-click the e-mail listed in the message list and select “View message source.” This will open a window with the message source.
3. Copy and paste the info on your reply to this post.
