1. Sign in to your Windows Live Hotmail account.
2. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Options.
3. Choose More options on the dropdown menu.
4. Under Manage your account click the View and edit your personal information link.
5. For security purposes, you need to re-type your password again.
6. Under your Birth date click on the Registered information link.
7. Under Home Location confirm the information in the Country field and the Time Zone field, enter the correct time zone setting for your area.
8. Click Save.

You have to sign out and sign back in to your account to reflect the changes made on your account.

Also, the time stamp in Windows Live Hotmail e-mail messages is based on the time settings of the sender, and the time it was sent. This means that even if your time setting in your Windows Live Hotmail account profile is in Pacific Time (PST), messages sent by someone to you with a Universal Time (GMT) setting will be displayed in GMT.

Thanks!

Hotmail messages automatically going into my Delete Folder--Help!

Hello. Yes, I am grateful that that particular issue is solved--but now, I have another issue as shown by my subject title. I need help with stopping my incoming Hotmail messages from going directly into my Delete folder. When I use Incredimail, the incoming messages properly go into the Inbox folder on the Incredimail interface, but I still want them to be stored in my Hotmail Inbox instead of them going directly into the Delete box. Also, the time zone is off. My Hotmail messages show Eastern time and I am in Central time. Again, it is correct on my Incredimail interface, but not Hotmail. It did not use to do either of these things, so I need some instruction here and someone's expertise yet again. Please help. Thank you!

Re: Incredimail: Messages hung up on Hotmail server

Hi Prophetess12,

The latest version still configures Hotmail to go through a default URL. They emailed me in February that they recognized the problem and a new build would be released a week later. Maybe they meant a year? I have used Incredimail for a LONG time and never received any help from their support. I like the program features and luckily can work around the bugs to make it work.

Re: Incredimail: Messages hung up on Hotmail server

Hi captain happy

Thanks for letting us know.

Re: Incredimail: Messages hung up on Hotmail server

My ISP (AT&T) solved the problem. They block port 25, so I allowed tech support to program my settings so Incredimail worked properly.
Hi. Please check the following:

1. Please check if any security software you have in your computer is not blocking port 25.
2. Verify if your router has a firmware setting to block certain communication ports.
3. Please contact your ISP and ask if they are blocking port 25.

These are the most likely reasons for not being able to send. It is important that you first check them and make sure that they are not causing the problem. Please tell me the results.

Re: Incredimail: Messages hung up on Hotmail server

I received two error messages

What are your POP3 and SMTP mail server addresses?
Do you have port numbers for your POP3 and SMTP mail servers?
Do you need to authenticate when sending mail?
Do you need to use SSL?

Also, please verify with them that the username and

all the above details, reconfigure your email account
