Sending/Receiving Attachments

attach photos - virus ?

Hello Sir,

I am using windows live hotmail , on windows XP

when I attach a single photo from my collection and send email with attachment I was horrified

to find the attachment contains unwanted images, photos, logos, etc when opened the inital image appears ok on windows photo and fax viewer, but the other images are seen when you arrow L or R. IT appears the upload tool has scavanged many other images, some obscene

from the internet, yet norton virus scan shows no viruses !

Also happens if a send a file, and open it, in sent email

help! Do I have to WIPE my entire C DRIVE and off load photos /docs to a disc ?

Blocked emails images

Hotmail has blocked images in a message with no option to unblock. I don't need big brother.

Any idea how to unblock?

every time I attatch a picture I have to redown load the picture down loder? why does this happen. I liked the old style better. the new one does not show all the pictures on my coputer. have to hunt for any others

Emails with imbeded jpgs do not always show. For example, if there are 10 jpgs, the first 6 will show and the last 4 have a red x in a box. All of the files are ok, as you can right click on them and show picture. Why do I have to do that? Thanks.

Editing the caption in Hotmail Photo Uploader

When using hotmail photo uploader, sometimes I want to change the caption on the pictures so that when people are looking at my pictures in the body of my email, the caption describes the action, and its not just some number.jpg

But when I click on the "edit caption" button, and change the caption, it never seems to remember my changes when I send the email. It goes back to the original caption.

I can change the captions in the "My Pictures" folder, but that takes them out of order and I would rather not do that.

Any help would be great!

I can't seem to download all attachments at once, and have to go through them all individually, which takes up a lot of time. No error box comes up when I click on download all attachments, it just clicks and then nothing happens! Please help, i'm losing my rag!

Opening e mail problems

When opening e mails the mail opens but permanently shows "Loading" in bottom left corner.

The reply, reply all and forward tabs are not visible, If the mail page is refreshed, the tabs are visible and the "Loading" is no longer there.

Accessing Hotmail on another computor is fine and does not show this problem.

how can I send html or embedded image emails cross browser and plaform? I have the code to do this. I test it and send to myself and I see the photo/image in the body of the email. This is what I want. ( I use windows live hotmail acct, Firefox browser, on a mac). When I send to others that may have a PC or use Internet explorer it just shows an red x where image should be. I see others send promotional emails like this all the time. So i wonder how I can achieve this as a marketing tool without other's systems blocking it.

Hi all. I cannot download all attachments at once like i used to be able to do. Untill yesterday I was able to hit the "download all attachments" button and it would work fine. But now when I push that button nothing happens, ever. I can still click single attachments to download.

PLEASE HELP!

Cannot "download all attachments" in Hotmail

As of this week I cannot "Download All Attachments" in Hotmail on either my work or home PCs. I can download the individual attachments, but the "Download All Attachments" link now briefly shows the status bar loading without generating a ZIP file.

My work PC has XP 32-bit w/IE7, home PC has Windows 7 64-bit w/IE8 and Firefox 3.5.

Image in text body with link to photo host

I store images at an online host. I then Copy and Paste them into my Hotmail text body.

This has successfylly worked for several years now. Recipients could click onto the photo and be linked (redirected) back to the hosting site for a larger image.

Now, however, the link is no longer incorporatred into the image. How can I remedy this? How do I ensure the redirection link is in the image?

Why is it that when there are links hi-lighted in blue on the oringinal message, when I forward it, the links dont show in blue so they can be accessed from the message???

I can't open any e-mail attachments. I have to forward them to someone using a yahoo e-mail account to open the attachments that way.

The attachments I am trying to open are WORD document files, pictures. I haven't tried the PDF yet.

Does anyone one what is wrong with HOTMAIL?

I also have a website where I get e-mail inquiries from my website forwarded to my MSN e-mail account and they are comming in as DELIVERY STATUS NOTIFICATION it will usually say (Failure) or (Delay). This started happening a week ago.

Does anyone know how to fix these problems?

hotmail closes after I click to save or open attachment

i am using Windows Vista Home premium (SP2) and MS explorer 8 , my problem is this : every time I click on an attachment to open or save it, hotmail closes down, I have to go through the process of logging in again. How can I get rid of this problem. Thanks

the "download all attachments" option will not work

my job requires downloading a lot of pictures that are attached to emails (almost always over 10+ pics). when i open an email with pics attached they show up ok, and at the top it says "download all attachments" or there are links to download each individual picture. for a while i had been clicking on download all attachments and it worked great (it put them in a zipped file). all of the sudden today it will not work at all, i can download each pic individually (which will take way to long!!! i get a high volume of emails with lots of pics attached) when i click on download all attachments nothing happens (there is a green bar at the bottom that fills up, but nothing downloads and no box come up to ask you where to save them, etc) pleeeeeasssse help me fix this!!! fast! is there any easy way? I HAVE ALREADY DONE ALL THE STEPS TO OPTIMIZE MY BROWSER AND HAVE ADDED ALL THE SITES TO THE TRUSTED SITE LIST. IT DID NOT WORK.

When cliscking on "Photo" in attaching photos, I only have access to 14 photos out of several hundred. If I click on "File", I have access to all photos but that method requires the recipient to download photos instead of them showing in the body of the email.

How do I access all photos in Attach-Phot mode?

Outgoing Live email Account Blocked

Please unblock my Live.com outgoing mail. Upon sending my husband our Thanksgiving flight information in an attachment, I began receiving a message that my outgoing email was blocked (550 5.3.4 Requested action not taken . . .). Checking further, I discovered that the attachment I had sent was very large, byte-wise. Could this be the problem? Does this mean I will have to manually check the size of all attachments before sending them to keep my account from being blocked? Please respond.

Hello,

I have 3 hotmail accounts. (using the same computer) 2 work fine, but on the third I cannot view pictures or download attachments. There is no error message, nothing happens at all. In the message viewer there are only red X's where the pictures should be. I have optimised the browser (IE8), and added the relevant domains to my safe lists. I suspect this is an account problem. How do I go about getting this fixed?
