They couldn't care less. Neither hotmail, microsoft, the 'official' respondees on this thread (who appear to have some sort of 'job' ie they post on here in some sort of official capacity without doing any actual work) and the same for the ones if you ask for help on the steps posted above. You get a generic robotic reply. Try it - ask them a specific question and they give a generic reply, for example ask them who played tony montana in scarface and they'll reply with the usual automated IT 'tech' support stuff like "Try switching your machine on and off etc".
Get a new email account with someone other than msn is my advice, its the only solution I can find to this. Eventually I hope the likes of amazon, msn etc will be beaten by companies who respond to customer concerns directly, this call centre / automated response stuff surely can't last forever.
