It would also help if you could try accessing your account through another computer with different connection and lets see what will happen. Also, is any error message involved? If there is, I need you to post there its exact wording.

I have been getting this message today also. I need to access my account to get information on my Mom's funeral. I optimized the browser and followed the other instructions.  I tried to access via a work pc (XP), a Blackberry and a Vista laptop with the same error message, I have a linked hotmail account and that one will open. Let me know the following info so I can fully investigate:

- What’s your Hotmail e-mail address?
- What are the exact steps you followed before you encountered this issue? Include the exact wording of any error messages you viewed.
- Does the same thing happen when you access your account on a different computer with a different Internet connection?  
- Does this issue occur with other Windows Live Hotmail accounts that are being accessed on your computer?

I am having the same problem I have tried optimizing my browser as well my email adress is {removed email address}

Hi BigdaddyX.  I gather that you have done the steps above. Yet, I need more information about your issue.

Please tell me any error message that you are getting. Also, verify if you can access your account from other computers.

We are also having the issue where log-in fails.  Strangely enough, it only happens from one PC (PC1) and only when that PC is in our home (L1).  I can log in on another PC (PC2) in the same house (L1)...and I can log in on the effected PC (PC1) in a different network (L2)...so, the only common thread is that (L1) and (PC1) are problematic.  I have "optimized the browser" and additionally, I have tested access with an alternate browser (FireFox) and am getting the same behaviour with that browser as I am getting with IE7.  Ideas, suggestions?  Thanks,

Based on the info you’ve given, the problem only happens in one network only. Have you checked your router? You can contact the manufacturer for assistance.

Note: A router is a networking device whose software and hardware are usually tailored to the tasks of routing and forwarding information. For example, on the Internet, information is directed to various paths by routers. It's connected to at least two networks, commonly two LANs or WANs or a LAN and its ISP’s network.

It’s possible that the server that hosts your account has undergone maintenance. Maintenance doesn’t take too long and you should now be able to access your account.

Recently, I've started to encounter problem with my hotmail. Apparently, the webpage does not load fully. The webpage loads with white background and blue fonts.

The webpage is http://mail.live.com/default.aspx?wa=wsignin1.0.

Upon further investigation. I found out that in addition to the webpage above, two additional webpage also have the same problem. They are http://mail.live.com/?rru=inbox & http://people.live.com/?rru=contacts , which does not load properly. ( ie, for the latter link, the contact list appears at the bottom of the page). Other pages like http://home.live.com/ , http://cid-7f70d12fa5f6de03.profile.live.com/ loads perfectly.

I've tried signing in on another computer ( the same ISP) , the problem persists. I've also tried using another email account (under hotmail). The same problem , as above, persists.

Can anybody assist me in this issue?

Many factors influence loading of webpage such as the speed of your Internet Service Provider (ISP), type of connection you have, your browser's performance, and general Internet connectivity issues. To isolate this issue, please use another computer with different Internet connection and if the problem persists, let us know.
