I'm not sure where this question should be forwarded.  I would like to know how to increase the number of receipients that I can send messages to.  Your solution center indicates "  As you develop a reputation for not sending junk e-mail, we increase the number of recipients that you can send messages to."   I have been a user since Jan 2009 and use hotmail to stay in contact with family.  With a ten receipient limit this means I have had to create two family lists and send out all e-mails twice.  Is it possible to have my limit raised to 15 or 20?

Please advise what information you require from me in order to activate this change.

To help reduce the amount of spam that users send from Windows Live Hotmail accounts, we limit the number of recipients that you can send a message to at one time. To send a message to multiple recipients, please make sure that you include only the number of allowed recipients that appears in the error message. As you develop a reputation for not sending spam, we increase the number of recipients that you can send messages to.

dlsc, I checked your account and I verified that it's not being used to send spam. I made a back-end fix. You should now be able to send messages to 100 recipients per message.

I just tried to send a test e-mail to check if the number of receipients had been increased.  My total number of receipients was only 12 and I still got the same error message...."please remove some .......

I would appreciate if you would  take another look at my account to see why the fix did not work.  Thanks  {removed email address}

As mentioned by Eddie, the maximum number of recipients that you can send to will gradually increase when your reputation develops. Hotmail continuously monitors all accounts and your reputation will increase or decrease depending on how you use your account. In the meantime, please add only the number of allowed recipients that appears in the error message.

Hi dlsc, I’m sorry but although your account has been fixed, as what we’ve mentioned, this error generally is in result of the messages that you’ve been sending out. It’s most likely that our system sees that your account’s being used to send spam or spam-like messages. You’ll have to limit your contacts to the number that you see in the error message to avoid it from completely being blocked.

In order for you to be able to send more than 10 emails at a time, you'll have to develop a reputation. For more info on this, please visit this link:

Now I am really convinced you guys don't bother to read each others messages!!!!!!  As indicated in my response to Sheila F (below) the replies that are being sent are conflicting.  Someone please make a decision and confirm if my limit will be increased.  I have never abused the use of the e-mail and the majority of my e-mails are sent to family  ( max # of receipients 15 ) .  I am not asking for a huge increase , only enough of  one  to be able to send a e-mail to all my family members at once rather than split it into 2 e-mails .  If this is not going to happen SAY SO!  Stop sending me to websites , which I have already read and understand, over and over.

I’ve made another back-end fix to your account. Try sending messages again and verify if you’ll still be restricted to send to 10 recipients at a time.

Thank you for checking out this account for me .  I tried to send a test message to a total of fourteen (14)  receipients and this is to verify I am still receiving the same error message.

My colleagues have exhausted every means on our end to try and fix your issue. The only option left now is for you to develop a reputation for not sending Spam so that the number of recipients that you can send messages to will increase.

Thank you for your reply .  Although I would prefer not to , I actually do have another option and that would be to change mail provider!!!!  It is not the option I want to take but one I  am  seriously considering.  My question to you now is How long does it take to develop a reputation????????  I opened my account Jan 2009 and will reiterate, I have never used it to send spam or spam like messages. 90% of my e-mails are to family!
