    The same message I got. Thousands of lost contacts, receipts, addresses, pictures - everything gone, and they basicaly say sh*t happens.

    Now I have files full of email I can not open, nor can I remove them. What a mess.

    Well glad to know this "incredible rare occurrence" isn't so rare. I could remove my lost emails though so you should see if they can fix that. Good luck!

    I can't access emails sent to me on may 27th, 2009 and everything prior to that, 7 THOUSAND emails. It doesn't matter the folder, it doesn't matter the computer. please please help! my email is {removed email address} thanks!

    I have forwarded your issue to the Escalation Specialist.  They are the one who can tell if they can restore these messages or not.

    I'm having the same problem as well, any message that I try to open from before the 3rd Nov comes up with the message

    "The message you selected could not be found. It may have been moved or deleted. Please click the folder again to refresh the view."
    How can I resolve this?

    I have exactly the same problem. Can someone take a look at my account please?! It's not just old emails I can't access, it appears to be relatively recent ones too!

    i get the message in the subject line for all messages older than a week or so.

    please tell me what info you need to solve or work around the problem.

    This has been an issue for me for a while now. My email address is {removed email address}. I have not been able to access a lot of emails that I NEED to access. Thank you for you attention to this matter.

    FYI...I had the same issue last month and was told by the escalation expert that there was an error/bug on their end.  There was nothing they could do and my mail was not recoverable, which completely sucks.  It took about a month to find this out from them, and I assume not much has changed.

    I am getting this message as well, have had NO help whatsoever from tech support. I've been unable to access any email older than 2 days for the last 5 days.
    I have 11 years of email stored in my hotmail account, much of it data that I absolutely need access to.
    I would like a response from a hotmail tech asap. My email address is {removed email address}
